This series of articles will be dedicated to a call for repentance, in the spirit of Elijah the prophet. This spirit was manifested in John the Baptist, who was called: "The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight" (Matthew 3:3).
What was the mission of the Prophet Elijah? We read that John would: "Go before him in the spirit and power of Elias (Elijah), to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord" (Luke 1:17). John's mission was to preach repentance. He would exhort people to change their hearts and turn again to God.
An Exhortation for the Brethren on latter day prophetic considerations
Today, we are living during another time in history when repentance is called for. Another opportunity has been given for people to be prepared for the Lord.
It is our hope that these writings will play at least a very small role in helping people to prepare the way for the Lord to enter into their hearts and to be a presence in their lives.
